Phases
The five stages of the product journey — and how Synloom guides you through them.
Synloom organizes work into five phases that mirror how products actually get built. Each phase has a goal, a set of specialized agents, and the kinds of artifacts it produces. You can move freely between them — the phase strip at the top of the canvas is your map.
Discovery
Understand the space.
Definition
Sharpen the problem.
Ideation
Generate solutions.
MVP
Make it real.
Test
Validate and measure.
Phases are a guide, not a cage. Synloom gives soft hints (“no evidence added yet”) but never blocks you from moving where you need to.
Lesson: phases organize agents, not gates
- What it is
- A phase is really a grouping of the agents and artifacts relevant to one part of the journey. Switching phases changes what Synloom suggests — it doesn’t lock or unlock anything.
- Why it matters
- Rigid stage-gates fight how product work actually happens: you loop back to discovery mid-build, or jump ahead to sketch a solution. Phases here are a map you can walk in any order.
Use phases to focus (“show me the definition tools”), not to obey. Jump around as the work demands.
